walking the east Bay
I created a game plan to jump start my stalled photo engine.
Each Saturday morning.
Get up.
Grab camera.
Go walk an East Bay street.
1 hour is fine. 2 hours is amazing. Do it. Every Saturday. No negotiations.
My first weekend, I went to Jack London Square. And, I sucked! But was it ever fun. The light, the shadows, the early birders, the worms. I hardly knew what to do with it all. I was rusty. Admittedly, I've always been rusty with street photography. You have to put in the YEARS. The thousands of frames. All the duds. Maybe a gem will shine through one day. It's that difficult and that's the point.
From here on out until otherwise noted, I will be back at it again each weekend. Bring on the duds. Bring on the thrill. No negotiations.
